Since it is virtually impossible to ignore the elephant in the room, this blog will revolve around the interesting circumstances we are in. This month my inspiration comes from The Brave Thinking Institute, Life Mastery Consultant program; “Standing Firm When Your World is Shaking” which I offer some of my clients and “The MIRACLE MINUTE, Practical Wisdom to Inspire You” by Mary Morrissey.

The universe evolves through chaos, and if we are not diligent at guarding the portals of our minds, it is easy to allow what is going on around us to get inside and dominate our thoughts.

We currently are in the midst of a pandemic around which is swirling a ton of information; too much information, not enough information, inaccurate information, biased information, rumors, etc., all leading, for many, to a state of anxiety, fear, confusion, a period of what might look like a “dark night’ for many. They believe that everything that is happening is outside of their control. Many are tempted to think or say that there is nothing good about the current situation.

Let me tell you about a very powerful practice that I have been introduced to. It’s called Pause Power. Here’s how it works; whenever you are facing a situation or circumstance of a nature and you find yourself believing. “ooh, this is really, really bad”, stop for a moment and hit your internal pause button and ask the Universe, God, Spirit, however you refer to your higher power, to show you how to use the situation as a stepping stone, instead of a road block.

In the Scriptures it says, “All things can work together for good for those who love God.”

ALL THINGS, even our current circumstances.

I encourage any of you who feel the “dark night” is upon you to use the practice of Pause Power and when you find yourself thinking of saying how terrible things are and that nothing good could possibly come from it, hit your internal pause button, and for three days state the following at least once a day and see what comes to you on the third day,

“God, Life, the Presence and Power, Spirit, that guides this universe, show me how to use these current circumstances, which on the surface look like something I would never want to have happen in my life, knowing that deep down all things can work together for the good of those who love God. I turn now to that Infinite support, that Higher Power for guidance in how to turn this into something that not only can be good, but is good.”

I acknowledge that we are all being challenged by our current circumstances and in the land of fact, many are suffering and many are dying, but in the land of truth I believe that within every unpleasant circumstance or situation, that if we look hard enough we can find a seed of goodness. What seed will you discover if you use the Pause Power practice?
