The focus this month’s blog is on self-liberalization through forgiveness. “Forgiveness is not just about the other. It is for the beauty of your soul. It is for your own capacity to fulfill your life.”-Jack Kornfield. In the book, Working with The Law, Chapter IX, The Law of Forgiveness, Raymond Holliwell points out that scientists accept the premise that the results we see/have in our lives, are a result of our thoughts. And since thoughts equal feelings/emotions, any thoughts or feelings of anger, or shame, or remorse, or sadness, etc., will have an effect on our lives in the area of our physical and/or mental health.
When we look at the map of consciousness levels from the book, Power vs Force, by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D, we see that the vibrational frequency of our creative or expressive energy starts at 200Mhz and goes up to 700+Mhz which is total enlightenment. The vibrational frequency of our destructive or constrictive energy ranges from 20Mhz up to 200Mhz. Generally speaking, our wellness line begins at 200Mhz. We are generally healthy, energetic, and happy at 200Mhz and above. Disease, lethargy, depression, etc. all occur below 200Mhz. That means if we are harboring angry, resentful or hurtful thoughts about others, or ourselves, we are vibrating at a frequency below 200Mhz which over time can lead to physical and/or mental maladies. On the flip side, if we have positive, loving thoughts about others, or ourselves, we are vibrating at a frequency well above the wellness line, the vibrational frequency of love being 500Mhz.
I’m going to assume that not anyone reading this blog would consciously risk illness, or unhappiness by holding on to thoughts/feelings that would cause them to vibrate at a frequency below 200Mhz. The practice of forgiveness will liberate you from constrictive/destructive thoughts/feelings. From A Course in Miracles “…forgiveness is a shift in perception that removes a block in me to my awareness of loves presence.” From WORKING WITH the LAW; ‘’…we must learn to live by the Law of Forgiveness…that unless we prove the law by living it, we cannot hope to gain the bigness of character that life requires…”
Forgive
That slight misdeed of yesterday,
why should it mar today?
The thing he said, the thing you did,
have long since passed away;
For yesterday was but a trial,
today you will succeed,
And from mistakes of yesterday
will come some noble deed.
Forgive yourself for thoughtlessness,
do not condemn the past;
For it is gone with its mistakes;
their memory cannot last;
Forget the failures and misdeeds,
from such experience rise,
Why should you let your head be bowed?
Lift up you heart and eyes!
