Shrimp, Salmon, Halibut, Trout and any Other Fish you Catch

When I think of fish and anything that swims in the ocean, I think of wonderful herbs to enhance their flavors and then I wonder, is there an oil for that? It doesn’t take much in the way of flavoring. For fish like salmon, I look to Lemon and Dill Vitality as my favorites. Try mixing 1-2 drops of lemon vitality in a little olive oil with 1 drop of dill vitality. Then brush on the salmon. As for the shrimp, I like to skewer 5 shrimp on each skewer and then brush with a mixture of olive oil, Lemon Vitality and Black Pepper Vitality.  Halibut is a delicate white fish that like to use Black Pepper in the olive oil brushing. Since I live on a lake now, we are just waiting for Rich to get his fishing license (you have to be a resident for at least 6 months and that is coming up soon!) Think about thyme or black pepper with lake fish.

Steaks, Hamburgers, Ribs

The flavors can be a bit broader when it comes to red meat. My standby is olive oil to which I add flavors like the Vitality oils of Lavender, Marjoram, Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, Sage, and Black Pepper. Not all of them at once mind you! You have to experiment to find out what works best for you and your guests. Just don’t underestimate the great taste Black Pepper adds. The Vitality oils serve to enhance the natural beef flavors.

Lamb, Veal and Pork Tenderloin and Chops

I love lamb chops on the grill. Veal not so much. Lamb needs very little added—a little olive oil brush with maybe a drop or two of black pepper or even rosemary vitality. Pork you can be a bit more generous and use oils like rosemary, basil, fennel, marjoram, sage, and black pepper.

Grilled Vegetables

Now you are talking! Veggies love to be brushed with olive oil and wonderful flavors like rosemary, dill, fennel, lemon, lavender, marjoram, orange, thyme, sage, black pepper or even tarragon. Don’t use too many or else the flavors will be in competition for your taste buds.
