Have you noticed the rhetoric lately expressed by political leaders, and just ordinary people on social media? It’s been anything but kind. It’s become right down selfish and uncivil.
So, how do I define kindness? For me, it is thinking from the heart and treating others as I would like to be treated – with consideration, friendliness, gentleness, concern, and care. This description is anything but weak behavior—it takes a lot of courage and strength to be kind. Just because we are in the midst of a worldwide pandemic is no excuse for such ill-mannered behavior toward one another. If anything, our leaders should be models of exemplarily behavior, showing us the way to care for one another.
If you wish to boost your ability to show kindness to others even to the ones who cut you off in traffic or who step in front of you in a line, begin by taking a slow breath as you remember your desire to be kind.
Even though we don’t have an essential oil blend called “kindness” we have many others that can certainly strengthen our desire to care and notice the needs of others. How about Common Sense™ essential oil blend? God knows, we could all use a little of this in our lives. It can surely help improve my decision-making abilities and help me to think before I say an unkind word. Acceptance™ essential oil blend helps us to be open and accepting of people and events. Awaken™ essential oil blend is an interesting blend of Joy™, Forgiveness™, Present Time™, Dream Catcher™, and Harmony™ blends. I believe all of those could help me be kinder to others. Hope™ essential oil blend can remind me that we are all moving forward in life and Inner Child™ essential oil blend can remind me that we are all wounded inside. Then there is Live Your Passion™ essential oil to enhance and improve my ability to help others go forward on their paths. Peace and Calming™ can help relax and encourage a deeper sense of peace and emotional well-being—necessary for kindness. And when we either are unkind to others or we experience unkindness, there I Release™ essential oil blend to help restore emotional well-being. And, a helpful oil blend when I am stressed and prone to being unkind, there is Stress Away™ essential oil blend to restore tranquility.
My final suggested oil to encourage kindness is Transformation™ essential oil blend. Transforming behavior is a daily task, one that we all need in these emotion-filled days.
