In March, the US recognizes or celebrates Women’s History Month, St. Patrick’s Day, and the first day of spring. We move our clocks forward an hour because of daylight savings time. “Beware the Ides of March” is a quote probably familiar to millions of people. March is a time of new growth in the plant and animal kingdoms. March might also be a time for us to create growth in our lives.

.The thoughts we think create the circumstances we experience. If we habitually think of worry, doubt, or lack, the result will more than likely be sickness, longing, and discontent. The scriptures prove this, with Jesus telling us we reap what we sow. In other words, we cannot sow corn and expect to reap wheat. So, if you are “sowing” worry, doubt, longing, or discontent, you cannot expect to “reap” peace, confidence, joy, or fulfillment.

Like the animals leaving their dens after hibernating for the winter, like the plants and flowers beginning to push their way through the layers of soil to get to the nourishing rays of sunshine and drops of rain to enable them to grow, you can choose to shake off circumstances or situations that no longer serve you. You can begin to grow anew. You can utilize this time of growth to create a dream, a vision of a life you would love living.
