Attending this year’s Young Living Convention was bitter sweet in that we formally said goodbye to Gary Young, our founder and a great friend to me as well as to thousands of others. Gary passed away from a stroke on May 12th of this year. Mary Young CEO and Jared Turner President and COO assured us that Young Living is poised to meet the needs of the future. They will continue to build farms, distilleries and laboratories all over the world in order to bring the “Seed to Seal” quality to all their products. This was Gary’s vision and legacy to us—to heal the world, one drop at a time.
Young Living has 18 corporate and partner farms now, producing the highest quality plants that are organic and pure. There are many other companies out there that try to copy the leader in essential oils but often fall short on quality. No other company has the “Seed to Seal” guarantee either because they don’t actually grow the plants, distill them or even test them. Farming out these essential steps often leads to lesser quality. You can be assured that Young Living will NEVER compromise on quality—they have way too much at stack to ever cut corners.
I personally have been to many of their farms and participated in planting balsam fir trees in Idaho, lavender in Utah, and helichrysum in Croatia. One of the things I am aware of when I visit one of their farms is the attitude of the workers. I can report that I have only found happy workers who speak highly of Gary Young and what he has brought to their country or area here in the U.S. Young Living treats their 3,000 workers worldwide as partners and pays a fair wage commensurate with pay scales in their countries.
At present, Young Living has over 200+ essential oil singles and blends and 600 + individual products. So whether its household products, personal care products or products from one of their newest lines like the Savvy Mineral makeup or their Seedlings baby line, you can rest assured that there has been careful detail to purity of these products.
